July 24, 2022: While the Tour de France men’s teams are heading to the Champs-Elysées, Paris, France, another bike race is about to start from the Eiffel Tower: the women’s Tour de France.
Due to a lack of financial backing, the women’s Tour de France has so far competed only five times (1984-1989). No need to say: the 2022 edition is a big come back fans had been expected for years! 24 teams of 6 cyclists are competing in eight stages and covering 1,029km from Paris to the Vosges (Eastern part of France).
Though all these valiant cyclists deserve our admiration, at ANNE TOURAINE USA Custom Scarves and Ties one team is really dear to our heart: the LIV RACING-XSTRA team for which we had the privilege to manufacture a lovely custom bandana matching their team jersey (purple color with flowers).

We all agreed that silk-cotton was a perfect fabric for this special scarf: silk-cotton is much more sophisticated than pure cotton AND it remains pleasant to wear when the weather is getting hot (and God knows how suffocating the month of July 2022 has been in France!).
Whether this cute bandana is part of the staff uniform or meant to be offered as a gift to some VIPs, it tells a lot about the women’s cycling world: this little yet feminine accessory proves that no sport will ever deprive women from their femininity! ☺
