Large, classic, skinny or ultra skinny, today's ties come in many different widths. That said, large chunky ties are pretty much out of fashion. They belong to the old generation (of very old politicians, for example). On the other hand, ultra skinny ties - which look cool and trendy on Pete Doherty or Brad Pitt - do not fit everybody and can be frowned upon at work. Who wants his tie to be a conversation piece?
